I really enjoyed my stay at the Plantation Inn. The Plantation Inn is located right off the square in Granbury and is situated closely to many other amenities. When we stayed we had a few problems at check-in, however, they were solved right away by the staff. Each room has a refrigerator, microwave, TV, and coffee maker. We did not spend a lot of time in the room though because of the main feature the pool. My boys are teenagers and the one thing that they can both agree on it is if we stay somewhere it has to have a pool.
The pool is outdoors and you can catch glimpses of Lake Granbury from the various tables situated in and around the pool area. The space provides plenty of room for a picnic or just relaxing in the sun. The boys played for hours while my husband and I sipped on a few beers. Later we went by Whataburger and sat and ate at one of the cute little tables with the best view of the Lake. There trees shaded the table and given that the boys had worn themselves out swimming, there was an overall sense of peace. My husband has never really enjoyed Hotel queens but given that the boys, who sprawl and are 5ft 7in and 6ft tall, were able to get to sleep without to much fighting was awesome. Location often says it all and the hotel is located very close to the square and other amenities. It does not have the price tag that the glitzy hotel rooms a little closer in have nor does it have an indoor restaurant, bar, or lake side access. What it does have is comfort. I wake up earlier than everyone in my family and so I went down to the tables by the pool to write, The trees kept it cool and the wind blowing through them brought a general sense of peace and calm The hotel gives you a real sense of days gone by, and is definitely worth checking out! I know exactly one person that enjoys doing laundry. It is the oddest thing. She has a laundry room larger than most people's master bedrooms. Her laundry includes machines I do not recognize much less would know how to work. She also has industrial grade washers and dryers, and beautiful stainless steel hanging carts like the ones you would use in a laundromat.
I personally hate doing laundry. I have tried to get others in my household to take on the chore to no avail. The secret way to keep up, for me, is to do a load of laundry everyday. I can almost hear you laundry haters gasp I must be Crazy. Laundry everyday is infinitely easier and much less time consuming which makes me hate laundry much less. There are several of you, more organized than me, who will create lists for everyday of the week after accepting this practice. I have absolutely no method to my madness. There are some days that I want to wear a specific dress the next day, so I will go around the house gathering like same color-material to create a load. It is extraordinarily important to remember that this does not have to be a full load. The fact is you will be back to overwhelmed if you do this, adjust the amount of soap you put in to significantly less than a full load. I hope that this helps, and that you find Laundry a slightly less annoying chore!
